Four things happen at this counter besides selling: we make to order, we pierce ears and noses, we take old gold in exchange and repair what you already own, and we deliver.
Made to your design
Most of what leaves this shop was not on a shelf when the customer walked in. Bring a photograph, a magazine cutting, a screenshot, or a drawing on the back of a bill — any of those is enough to start.
How it works at the counter:
- You show us the design and say roughly what weight you want to stay within. Weight is the honest lever — it decides most of the price.
- We pick the stones with you from the tray, if the piece has any.
- We quote you a net weight, a making charge and a delivery date before anything is started.
- You pay an advance. The balance is settled against the finished weight on the counter scale.
The weight can move a little
A hand-made piece rarely finishes at exactly the quoted weight. We weigh the finished piece in front of you and bill the actual figure — up or down. If it comes out heavier than you agreed to, you are not obliged to take it.
Ear & nose piercing
Both are done at the counter, on the same day, and no appointment is needed. Booking one simply means you will not wait behind a wedding party on a Saturday.
- A fresh, sterile needle or stud is used for every piercing, opened in front of you.
- Babies' ears are pierced here regularly. Bring the child fed and settled; it takes seconds.
- You will normally buy the first studs here — plain 916 tops are the usual choice, because gold is kindest to a fresh piercing.
- Aftercare is explained at the counter and written on your bill. Come back and show us if anything looks wrong; there is no charge for looking.
Old gold exchange
Old gold is tested and weighed in front of you. Nothing is taken into a back room. You see the touchstone or the machine reading, you see the scale, and the value is set against whatever you are buying.
- Bring the original bill if you still have it. You do not need it, but it makes the purity question quicker.
- Stones, enamel and lac filling are deducted — you are paid for the gold, not for what is inside the piece.
- Hallmarked 916 fetches the best rate. Unmarked old gold is tested and paid at whatever purity it actually turns out to be.
Repair & polishing
Broken clasps, stretched chain links, a stone that has come loose, a bangle that needs sizing, a piece that has gone dull. Bring it in and we will tell you what it needs and what it costs before we take it.
Anything bought here is polished free, for as long as you own it.
Choosing a stone
Astrological stones are the part of this trade where people most often feel they were taken advantage of. Our rules, plainly:
- Every astrological stone is sold by carat against a lab certificate. If a stone has no certificate, we will not set it for you as an astrological stone.
- You will be told the difference between a natural stone and a treated or synthetic one, and what each costs, before you choose.
- Semi-precious beads from the wall are sold by the strand and priced by colour, cut and size. Two strands that look alike from a metre away can be priced very differently, and we will show you why.
Door delivery
We deliver across Bengaluru after the order is confirmed and paid. Confirmation is by phone — a message on this website or on WhatsApp is an enquiry, never an order. Nothing is dispatched until we have spoken to you.
- Payment by UPI, Google Pay, card at the counter, or bank transfer.
- You are told the exact weight, price and GST before you pay.
- Delivery is to the person who placed the order, against ID.
